The Central Coast of Viet Nam is likened by the Vietnamese to the bamboo pole connecting the baskets of North and South. The Truong Son Mountains, which stretch all the way to the coast between Hue and Danang, have traditionally divided the country in two in terms of weather and dialect, although the actual demarcation line during the Vietnam War was slightly higher up at the 17th parallel to the north of Hue.

Northern Vietnam is full of culture and natural wonders. Its three most popular destinations, Hanoi, Southern Vietnam covers the Mekong Delta, the extreme southern end of the Mekong River, and the area around Ho Chi Minh city, Viet Nam. As all deltas, it receives the bounty of the siltation from the upper Mekong, and as such is a very rich and lush area, covered with rice fields. It produces about half of the total of Vietnam’s agricultural output (in fact the delta produces more rice than Korea and Japan altogether), and is the place for timeless sceneries of farmers planting or harvesting rice. Then in Vietnam into a more complex system, creating a maze of small canals, rivers and arroyos interspersed foreign visitors, and many of them go to revisit old battlefields or see the indigenous tribes. Besides the pleasant city of Da Lat, it is the scenery and the ethnic minorities living here that draw travelers to this region. Although most people around here, different to their counterparts in the north-west highlands, only don their traditional clothing for special occasions, the shape and structure of the housings is much more diversified and striking. From long houses to bamboo huts, stilt houses and large communal houses, every region and ethnic has its own distinct style. Everyday life is the same simple agricultural routine, and you are likely to get invited for a mug of rice wine rather often. with villages and floating markets. Life in the Mekong Delta revolves much around the river, and all the villages are often accessible by river as well as by road.

The high times of life in the Mekong delta are the lunar new year (Tet), and the mid-autumn festival (Tet trung thu), where children will set hundreds of candles on their way on the river on as many tiny skiffs. 2 Climate

Viet Nam is located in a tropical and temperate zone. The climate is characterized by a strong monsoon influence, a considerable amount of sunny days, and a high rate of rainfall and humidity. Viet Nam is one of the most beautiful countries in Asia. It shares borders with China, Laos and Cambodia, and faces the East Sea (South China Sea). Thanks to its location, Viet Nam is the bridge linking Southeast Asian mainland together. It is an S-shaped country, with thousands of offshore islands, the largest archipelagoes of the Hoang Sa (Paracel) islands and the Truong Sa (Spratly) Islands. The country’s land area is about 331,051.4 sq.km and lies between East longitudes 102o08’ and 109o28’, and North latitudes 8o02’ and 23o23’. The Vietnamese population exceeds 90,728,900 (in the year 2014) and is divided into 54 ethnic groups. The largest group, the Viet (King), accounts for 80% of the whole population and is concentrated in lowland areas, whereas most of ethnic minorities live in the high-lands and the mountainous areas.

3 Topography

Three quarters of the territory consist of mountainous regions. Viet Nam has two major deltas, the Red River Delta and the Mekong Delta, as well as four distinctive mountainous zones (North East, North West, Northern Truong Son, Southern Truong Son), South-Central Coast, each possessing its own unique features.

5 Religion

There is no official religion in Viet Nam, but Buddhism is very popular. Buddhist pagodas and Catholic churches generally constitute interesting tourist attractions. Some religions are more specific to the southern regions, such as the Cao Dai sect, the Hoa Hao sect, and Islam. Most Vietnamese worship their ancestors.

6 Culture

The Vietnamese culture, endowed with a long and rich heritage, is deeply stamped with national pride. Famous ancient cultures include the Nui Do culture, followed by the Son Vi culture founded over 10,000 years ago, then by the Hoa Binh – Bac Son culture.

The Dong Son culture received the most brilliant development and was deeply connected with the Red River civilization, the wet rice and the emergence of the primeval states (Van Lang – Au Lac in the North; in the Central region, the Sa Huynh culture, which belongs to the Cham people; and in the South, the Oc Eo culture of Phu Nam State).

Despite of historical contingencies, there are still over

40,000 preserved historic and cultural sites over Viet Nam in 2014, thousands of which have been listed as national sites. These relics are concentrated mainly in Ha Noi, Hue, and some other areas such as the relics of the Kings Hung in Phong Chau (Phu Tho Province) date back to the period of the formation of the country. There are also the ancient capital of Hoa Lu (Ninh Binh Province), My Son Sanctuary (Quang Nam Province) …

Viet Nam is a nation with thousand years of glorious 7 _History history that can be divided into four main periods:

1. Prehistoric Era (from 2879 to 208 B.C): Kings Hung founded a country; Au Lac Nation was established.
2. Chinese domination period and the struggle for national independence (208 B.C – 938 A.D): This period was one of the fiercest periods of hardship in Viet Nam’s history.
3. National construction and defense for independence (938 – 1945): This period was a brilliant era for national revival and development of the country and was marked by the glorious victory of the Vietnamese people against the aggressors.
4. National independence and socialism (1945 up to now): For nearly 100 years under French oppression, the Vietnamese people had constantly fought for independence. The revolution succeeded in August 1945 under the leadership of Ho Chi Minh and the Vietnamese Communist Party proclaimed its independence on September 2, a date which became the National Day.

During the following 30 years, the Vietnamese people continued to resist and protect their independence, Viet Nam has been unified ever since the great victory in spring 1975. Since 1976, the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam was proclaimed, with Ha Noi as its capital. Viet Nam enters a new stage of peace and development as a country.

Last destination of the trip is waiting for you to explore – Ninh Binh. We will take you to visit Tam Coc cave, a beautiful landscape which appeared in blockbuster Kong: Skull Island. “Tam Coc” means three caves, the three caves were made due to the transformation of geology, seawater and rainwater in a long period of millions of years. To reach Tam Coc, we must row a small boat through Ngo Dong river with beautiful green paddy fields in February or March or golden paddy fields in June or July. Therefore, Tam Coc is beautiful in both poetic and majestic ways. Hoan Kiem Lake in Hanoi attracts

The Complex of Hue Monuments is

a UNESCO World Heritage Site and

is located in the city of Hue in central

Vietnam. Hue was founded as the

Vietnam capital city by Gia Long,

the first king of the Nguyen Dynasty

in 1802. It held this position for nine

Nguyen dynasties until 1945.

Many of the monuments surrounding

the royal buildings were constructed

in the early 19th century and were

modeled after Beijing’s Forbidden
